I was in Kalamata Greece in search of the best grown
Kalamata Olives. I came across a house with a tall beautiful tree filled with
these beautiful juicy fully grown Kalamata Olives. But the house had a big
fence guarding the tree. I knocked on the door and an angry man answered, he
assumed I was there for his beautiful daughter. But I asked him will he let me
buy every olive off of his tree, he screamed NO and slammed the door in my
face. So I had to find a way to get these olives. I could have just went and
bought them from a store but I’ve never seen olives this perfect so I was
determined. So all night I was thinking and drawing up plans. So my plan was to
climb up the gate with a basket and pick as many olives as I can. So, the next
day I did that. I got caught! The angry dad shot at me and I fell off the gate
out of the backyard. So I waited a couple days for everything to die down and
this time I made sure no one was home. So climbed up the gate and started
picking olives. But the olives were a little hard to get and I was struggling
to stay up and to get them. So some of the olive juice was in the basket as
well. I slipped and fell into the backyard! And this whole time I didn’t notice
his beautiful daughter was sitting under the huge tree. She was eating plain
chips and my olives and olive juice fell on top of her chips. So to play it
cool I ate a chip with a Kalamata Olive on top and the olive juice and was about to say “Hello Beautiful”. But instead I yelled “This
Is Delicious!!” She tasted it and agreed
with me, we heard her father coming so she snuck me out the house and I had to
leave without getting to know her unfortunately. But I knew I had a genius
snack on my hands!

Implantation Evaluation Control
My
company’s implementation is website ads and social media. It will catch the
attention of our target market successfully. “Finally, we recognize that every industry
sector and marketing sub discipline (e.g., marketing research, e-commerce,
direct selling, direct marketing, advertising) has its own specific ethical
issues that require policies and commentary” (Page 538 Gary Armstrong).
My company’s evaluation is us knowing it won’t be easy getting people to try
something new but we are positive that when they do they will come back for
more. ” Evaluation is also very important. Many companies fail
to evaluate their sales promotion programs, and others evaluate them only
superficially.”(Page 438 Gary Armstrong). My company’s controls are lightening up the bar scene. We plan on
increasing alcohol intake as well. We plan on this product becoming a
conversation starter that causes you to mingle. I also want the story of
phileas fogg to help. “The analysis, planning, implementation, and control
of sales force activities. It includes designing sales force strategy and
structure and recruiting, selecting, training, supervising, compensating, and
evaluating the firm’s salespeople.” (Page 416 Gary Armstrong).
Price
My products price
is $2.50. I priced this as a bar snack item. This inexpensive priced item will solve
many bar problems. They are paying that price for the experience as well. It
will make their bar experience way more enjoyable and help them meet many new people
and increase alcohol intake. This will make them have a great time. And always
come back for more. “A sales force organization that assigns each salesperson to an
exclusive geographic territory in which that salesperson sells the company’s
full line.” (Page 417 Gary Armstrong). “A sales force organization under which
salespeople specialize in selling only to certain customers or industries.”
(Page 418 Gary Armstrong).
Promotion
“Promotion is developing and spreading persuasive communication
about an offer” (Page 313 Gary Armstrong). My company’s promotion will be
social media. We will use all popular and non-popular websites. We will be very notable.
We will have our own Facebook page. We will also have our own Instagram page. We
will have our own twitter account. We will have someone on 24 hour monitor of
all of our accounts. We will search pictures and hashtags from the websites to
seek our audience. The people who are 21 or over and go to bars. “Matching
is shaping and fitting the offer to the buyers needs including activities such
as manufacturing, grading, assembly, and packaging.” (Page 313 Gary Armstrong).
Distribution
My company distribution that it’s going to be packaged in
bags and able to be stored in the bar scene. “Firms rarely work alone in creating value for customers and
building profitable customer relationships.” (Page 309 Gary Armstrong). “We
then examine physical distribution or logistics an area that is growing
dramatically in importance and sophistication” (Page 309 Gary Armstrong). The
product will be 3 ounces. I will have a normal size chip. It will be able to be
stored behind the counter. You will be able to save them pass them around and
everything in that nature. This product will come 30 a box to the bar.

Situation or SWOT Analysis
Next, is my SWOT Analysis. “SWOT Analysis is an
overall evaluation of the company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and
threats” (Page 55 Gary Armstrong). My company’s strengths are the flavor
of the product, the environment it’s sold in, the serving amount, and the
packaging. “The company should analyze
its markets marketing environment to find attractive opportunities and identify
environmental threats” (Page 56 Gary Armstrong). The flavor is a strength because it
salty which will increase alcohol intake. That will benefit me and the bar and
the customers. The environment the product is being sold in is another strength
is because the lounge bar scene is a place where you can talk and socialize and
meet new people. The serving amount is a strength because it’s enough to share,
so mingling won’t be hard. Lastly, the packaging is a strength because it’s a conversation
starter, and it’s easy to store in a bar scene. My company’s weakness is
getting people to try it. It will be hard to get people to try the Kalamata
Olive Chip but when they do they won’t regret it. My product opportunities is benefiting
the bar as well. It will increase
alcohol intake. That benefits the bars profits and keeps people there longer.
It would also keep people coming back because they will connect their memory at
the bar with a good time. So this is more business for both ends. Lastly, the company’s
threats are the other bar snacks. They are so used to them snack that they
might not want to try something new. Another threat is that the Kalamata olive
is a little unfamiliar so people will be a little on edge about trying it. But
with the right advertisement and slogans people will be less hesitant. With
every problem comes a solution so there is no problem that’s too bad.
Target Market Strategy
My company has a very specific target market. And that is 21
and over people who attend bars. My target market strategy is to identifying our
audience and the problems we solve or them. “The marketing mix is a set
of controllable, tactical marketing tools that the firm blends to produce the
response it wants in the target market,” (Page 53 Gary Armstrong). We
are going to connect with them the best way we know how which is through social
media. This will get their attention because this is what their used to. Social
media is in their everyday life and this is the best way to catch their
attention. “Product means the goods and services combination the company
offers to the target market.” (Page 54 Gary Armstrong). We are offering
a service to a certain age group and audience and this will only be served in
bars. They will benefit from this in more ways than one and we will tell them
that over social media. We will search hashtags that will let us know who on
the websites we should sell too. We have to speak their language to get their
attention. It will be a success because social media plays a big part in today’s
society.
Business Mission Statement
The purpose for my product is to end bar hunger, start conversation
and increase alcohol intake. Everybody wins! This salty savory snack is the Kalamata
Olive Chip from Greece. Phileas Fogg went on a crazy adventure and discovered
it accidentally. Everyone will love it. The product will be an appropriate
price and serving. It will also be storable on a shelf. I’m here today to end
the customers in the bars problems. “Business statements
should be market oriented and defined in terms of satisfying basic customer
needs.” (Page 40 Gary Armstrong). Our slogans are based on making new
friends and having a good time. Such as “Come and crunch on this conversation
snack with a mew friend”. We are here to make lounges easier to converse at and
have a good time. Our company is here to profit bars as well. “Guided by the company’s mission statement and
objectives, management now must its business and products that make up the company”
(Page 43 Gary Armstrong). This product came about when Phileas was in
Greece and he came across the Kalamata Olive tree and he had to have them. He
did everything he could to get those olives. Which was being guarded by an
angry father of a beautiful young girl. One day the daughter was sitting under
the tree eating plain chips. Phileas had no idea, and he climbed the gate to
sneak the olives. Half way through finishing picking the olives he fell and the
olives and olive juice fell on the girls’ chips! He taste one and was blown
away! Impressed with his new invention he forgot about the beautiful girl and
left as soon as possible because he knew he had a very successful product on
his hands! Our product will end all your bar problems. This is my product
business statement.

Week 7;EOC The Pitch
I am pitching to you today, The Kalamata Olive Chip. This salty meaty olive flavored chip would be great with alcoholic beverages. The Kalamata Olive flavored chip would be the perfect bar side snack. The Kalamata Olive is a large purple olive with a smooth, meaty texture named after the city Kalamata in southern Peloponnese, Greece. These olives are known as a black olive even though they are dark purple. They can be eaten plain or sourced chopped up in a dish, and now as a chip! These olives relatively large for an olive. It was totally coincidental how this chip came about. A very crazy day in Greece! This is a very perfect chip to have in bars worldwide. It would definitely increase alcohol intake for bar companies. This will be an in demand chip and will be very inexpensive. The price will go for about $2.00. The chips will be fairly thin but will have a crunch. It would be one of the best things to happen to bars everywhere! Fast, portable, healthy but salted (just like the Klamata Olive), very tasty, and affordable! This chip will put an end to the problem of having an empty stomach on top of liquor. Also it will put an end to being hungry at a bar. I know this will be a success. This isn’t just an acquired taste because everyone loves chips! Olives are great with alcohol alone, so these chips are perfect! It is a combination of two great things. Salted olives that are great. Also chips that is loved worldwide. The salted crunchy snack will increase intake and the taste will be adored. This combo is genius! Easily served and can be stored on a shelf. You can have unlimited supply in the back so no running out. This is the perfect product for your bar!
